I know I have posted this before but this SUV is killing me( not literally). I really hate driving it. Like I have said before when it is cold and I just start to drive it the tranny seems very smooth. I see no shift in the tachometer but once it warms up, about ten minutes, as soon as it get gets to 1000-1500 it shifts and you see the tack drop for a second and it just feels so sluggish when accelerating. I know I am not explaining this that well but I doing my best. Also when coming to a stop right aroung the 1000 mark the tranny shift kinda of hard into a lower gear. You noticably feel it drop down.

I know I'm crazy...........:2:

Thanks.

horsegoer-

Life is way too short to let something like this bother you. If you really hate driving it, then sell it and get something else. It is as simple as that.

Before dumping the car, take the vehicle to the dealership and demonstrate (not just tell) the problem to them. If you have to leave the car overnight, then leave it overnight. But drive it with the technician and show them that this is in fact an issue with the car and they might be able to fix it.

there is nothing wrong with your car. It is the torque converter locking up. Once the car reaches the operating temperature the TQ is trying to lock at 18mph (of course there are other parameters). This saves fuel and the drive train is more efficient. If you do not like it just stomp the gas pedal and you will see...;)

The car is not really sluggish, it just feels that way. Just watch speed, not tacho. You will be surprised. As many others were...

Thanks everyone. Kris sounds like you hit it dead on.
