Hi Guys,
I'm debating whether to get Nissan OEM all weather floor mat or the Weathertech? I found the NISSAN OEM All weather floor mat is a lot cheaper than the weathertech brand, how much difference are there? and what do you recommend? |

I doubt you will find any 2009 owner who has had both the Nissan and Weathertech mats. Or even other model years.
From what I have seen on other cars, some of the Weathertech mats are very "deep" and can hold a ton of mud and snow. I am not sure the same can be said of the Nissan mats.
Since the Nissan all-weather mats ($80) are virtually half the price of the Weathertechs ($159), I would go with the former.
But what do I know, I haven't had rubber mats since my '77 MG?

I had to make this choice last fall going into my first winter with the MO (although obviously not an '09). Ultimately, I ended up going with the Nissan mats to save considerable money. I can't say I've had any complaints at all.
Someone posted in one of the mat threads that had owned both if I remember right. |

I had the OEM's matts for a few years. They fit and looked good the only issue was that the front didn't cover the floor well directly under the gas pedal and the rears didn't offer full coverage.
This past year I got the weathertech. They fit completely and are very deep. I would get them in any car I own and highly recommend them if you want complete coverage all around. |

| Thanks for the inputs, that's really helpful..I really like the look of the weathertech as well. I guess I'll just wait and save some money to get the weathertech floorliner. Thanks again for all your inputs. |

| WeatherTech in both the Murano & Acadia... they are the liners, not the mats. Fit like a glove, and keep all the snow, water, sand on top for easy clean up :) |

Does the liner fit on top of the carpet mats? or do i have to remove the carpet mats to fit the liners in? |

| yeah, the carpet mats have to be removed before installing the weathertech liners. |

Just received my all weather weathertech mats and installed them in my new 09 Murano. The mats DEFINITELY fit over the existing carpets and I was even able to "clip in" the driver mat. The weathertechs fit like a glove, front and back, and with the carpets mats underneath they can be easily removed whenever the need arises.
The weathertech instructions indicate to remove the carpeted mats, but not sure why, since they fit so nicely directly over. Said something about shifting, but these mats fit too well to shift.:) |

I've taken a few shots of my WeatherTech's. It may be hard to see in the pictures (or believe), but the mats are black and go well with the black interior.
The pics are in my Gallery...

Your pictures are worth a thousand words… and $159 plus tax and shipping. I just ordered a set for my Black/Black LE. Thanks for the photos and take care!

Thanks for the pictures.
Before I ordered the WeatherTech floor liners, I wanted to make sure they would not interfere with the illuminated kick panels and I can now see that they don't .:D |

| I have them in my MO and love them. The only thing I wish was that they had a lip to cover the door threshold and avoid the space between the matt and door entry. Otherwise I love them and will get them for my next car.... in about 10 years. :4: |

Below every post there are several quick link buttons, one of which is Gallery. If for some reason you cannot see it, try this:
