Well the weather is finally improving here in New England and I am beginning to anticipate my first detailing project on my 09 MO. I have pretty much limited my product choices to Zaino or Meguiar. Wondering what the experience has been with this group relating to either one of these products and why or why not you would continue to use it. I have searched the achieves but hasn't been much discussion lately on waxes/polishes.
Thanks for your input.

| I have always been very happy with Meguiars wax/polish combination. I've never used Zaino myself, but have always read good things. |

If you really want to learn about detailing, see my fav site: autogeek.net and tell Meghan I sent you.
They have EVERYTHING, including online video training for how to use these high end polishes etc.
My 07 never looked better, even in the showroom! |

Mcguires Gold and NXT have decent results.
Never did Zaino but if they ever put it in the stores instead of mail order, I'll give it a go.
This is my other baby after a recent wax job.

I don't want to advertise what my MO looks like right now. :(
Hurry up spring! |

wbeauregard-
I learned about Zaino on this forum and started using it when I bought the MO. I am very happy with it.
I am fortunate in the fact that Zaino is produced right down the road from me and is sold in a Speed Shop about 20 miles from here, so it is easy for me to get. In fact, it is about time for my annual pilgrimage. :)
No matter what product you choose, the important thing to remember is to take your time and do it right.

| Thanks for the input. I went ahead and ordered the Zaino products and will hopefully apply the first coat in 2-3 weeks once the weather warms up just a bit. I will keep the group posted on the results. |

I am going to tell you something, and you will think I am crazy. I know you just placed the order and don't plan in polishing your MO for a least a few more weeks, but.... You are using too much. :4:
The most common problem with using Zaino is the fact that first-time users tend to use too much. I know, because I did. Very little Zaino is needed on the applicator to produce fantastic results. Trust me, you'll see.

njjoe,
Thanks for the reinforcement. Although I have heard that statement many times I will do my best to minimize the use of Zaino especially since it is on the higher side of the cost scale. But I have this feeling it will be a trial and error approach for determining the perfect balance. |
