Hi all,
Just wanted to say whats up to all. :D
Im from Canada. Doing some research on 06 and 07 MO's
I've been reading of alot of issues with CVT / Transfer case issue with the 03- 05 models...
Can anyone shed some light on any known issues with the 06 and 07 Models?
I've Joined Truedata but not too much input on these models.

Also, Trying to determin what model to go with.. SE or SL..

One of my first posts here last April or May was asking basically the same question.

The only issue I've had with my '06 was an issue with filling up the gas tank (handle would never stay "locked"), which has a TSB issued and was fixed by the dealer under warranty.

Other than that, just a couple minor recall fixes that were taken care of when I had it in for the gas tank replacement.

I'm nearing a year with my MO, and have loved every minute of it! :D

Thanks for the Heads up..
I keep searching for more info on the 06/07 models..
If all goes well with the Gas situation.. i'll be looking to get a MO in May..

Looks like we're in the same situation.. only im a year behind :)

My wife and I are totally satisfied with our year old, 2007 SL. It has about 15,000, trouble-free miles on it now. Made a few long distance trips as well as around town and interstate driving. It's a joy to drive.

I think the 07 muranos are pretty trouble free..... the only truely troubled of the 1st gen were the 03 models being the first run model and all..... seems there arent much trouble with later muranos....

how about considering a 09 murano.... they have much nicer interiors imo.... and somewhat better equipped standard equipment wise....

Thanks for the response...
I went to test drive the 09 MO... I did like it alot, however im not a fan of buying brand new vehicles for the simple fact that the second you drive off the lot.. down goes the value..
For example here in Canada, they were selling brandnew 07's just last week.. for $37,000 - $40,000
Where as i found a number of the 07 MO's used with 15,000 KMs - 20,000KMs ( not sure what that is in Miles) but the price range drops seriously $25,000 - $30,000

Anyways.. 07 MO... or 06 FX35... and again, this all depends on how the Gas prices go..
Here we are paying $1.10 /Litre of Gas..
I was in New Jersey last month and gas prices were equivalent to $0.78/Litre

Now i guess the next question is what model to go with.. an S, SL or an SE...

I am a big fan of MP3 Playback via CD or even better DVD.
Nav i dont need...
Leather i dont need... but would be nice..

You should buy an 07 Mo when you were down here. I see them going for high 20's low 30s not 40's around here... Can you drive them back across the border? How does that work?

And I love NJ for gas haha... Citgo is usually the cheapest
