| Sorry, but Im new to the board and would like to document all the stereo upgrades I do to the Mo. I do plan on installing Infiniti Kappa components all around, but was wondering what the bose amp's output RMS is? I was thinking bout 6x9's up front but did not know if there was enough power to drive em...if not, I plan on going with another amp or 6.5's all around. Thanks in advance! |

Welcome to the forum!
I am not sure what the RMS rating on the amp is. However; the Bose speakers that come OEM are rated at 2 ohms. If you do replace the OEM's with the Kappa's make sure you get the 2 ohm version. If I'm not mistaken someone else has also gone the same route and they mentioned that the 6.5" components they put in were a definate improvement over the OEM's.
If you do go that route; installing some material like Dynamat or other sound dampers also help with the "punch" sound of the bass.
You might also consider starting your speaker upgrade with a possibility of a future amp upgrade in mind with your choice made now.
Good luck and keep us posted. |

| Thanks for all the input guys. I think will skip out on the bose amp and just install a 4 channel at the same time. Is there any unplugging Im gonna have to do in order to cancel the bose amp? |

There's two plugs at the amp (located under the rear-passenger side seat) you can unplug. You can use the amps' "high-level" line inputs from the plugs to get your signals into the amp also. |
