| Due to my dissatisfaction with the Subaru Tribeca for design issues the factory couldn't resolve, I now have a 2009 Murano (both cars loaded). I drove the Subie a lot in heavy snow/blizzard this winter. The Subie does indeed have impressive snow performance (non scientific personal observation). The MO by a significant margin has more and better technology. The two cars have about the same size engine but the MO gets 18 MPG vs the Subie 16 MPG. This makes a noticeable difference at the pumps. The Murano has a far superior GPS Nav unit with the birdseye view and extremely sensitive receiver. The MO has a great bluetooth implementation that makes phoning from the car really enjoyable and easy. The list goes on but I am quite happy with the MO. |

| Welcome to the club, we're new too. Love our Murano, I especially like the CVT (as compared to the 6 speed in our other CUV). I hope we all have good luck with the '09's! |

The Tribeca is one ugly duck its right on up there with the ford edge, however it is a subaru and they sure can build a car, my girlfriend has a 06 legacy sedan gt (fast)
But nothing out there can beat the mighty nissan 35VQ thats the bottom line... (even with the CVT) |

What were your issues with the Tribeca?
As for snow traction, tires are a huge variable. With winter tires, I'm sure the Murano would do very well. |
