Does anyone know what the two bolts hold that are directly behind the air dam in the front of the Mo? I am trying to install a light bar and they mount on these bolts but I could not loosen them?
Thanks

RoNYC-

I am not sure what you mean when you refer to the "air dam". A photo of the bolts and/or the "air dam" would help.

Sorry, problems with my camera. The two bolts that I was referring to are the bolts right under the front bumper one at the bottom of either side of the lower grille.
Thanks again!

Does anyone have a pic of the front underside of their Mo that they would be willing to share?
Thanks
Gonzo
I think its part of the suspension, the crossmember.

How's this?

This is (was) Enforcer's first MO.

yo, what the ...er...heck happened to that car?!!!
Tornado?

Someone crossed into Enforcer's lane, nailed him in the front-passenger side and flipped him over. He walked away.

MAN!
As long as he walked away. I feel so bad using this as a reference, but, they are the two bolts at either end of the engine shroud. Either end of the row of clips that hold the shroud.
Thanks for the pic

I assume this is for the brackets for a bull bar. The two screw holes you are looking for can be accessed threw the wheel wells, you need to take off the front splash guard, and the two plastic shrouds, you'll see the fogs look down

It looks like I am going to have to have the bar installed. I could not losen the bolts. I am thinking of having the bar installed at Crown Auto in Northern Blvd here in Flushing, they are asking for $75.
Thanks for eveyone's help!

RoNYC-

I crawled under my MO today, and the two bolts in question secure the front suspension member to the body. Those bolts are extremely critical to the structural integrity of the MO. I would not mess with them unless absolutely necessary.

Finally.... that is what I said. Geesh.:4:

I am not sure that is funnier about this picture.... you decide. Is it:

  1. The tiny oil filter is still intact
  2. The great install job of the fuel tank METAL schields are intact
  3. How great the MO look even while inverted
  4. How great it is that he walked away
  5. All of the above

Gonzo-

I apologize. I usually just skim over your posts unless I see the words "high speed", "top end", "130 MPH", "maximum", "flat-out" and then I read them over and over wishing I had the opportunity to do the same in my MO. ;)

Sorry. :D

No worries, HIGH SPEED, don't worry about it, "TIGHT TURN". I was not really serious "POLICE CHASE". This is such a great board.

The place with the bull bar has nothing to do with the suspension. You cannot see the location by crawling under the car, you need to access them trough the wheel well. they are on a blank bracket to an empty threaded locations that are attached to the unibody.

At first; it was definately the tiny Oil Filter that I noticed. However upon closer inspection; it was the "Expression" on the front of the MO's "face". I swear that I see it saying "Help Me" with it's up-turn mouth......:(
I am glad though; that Enforcers' OK....:4:
