Seems every time I have the Nav running and an incoming call is detected with Bluetooth and I answer it, there is a tremendous amount of static to a point the caller can not hear me. If I shut off the Nav and recall the party, the static is gone. I currently am using a Treo 700W phone. Has anyone else experienced this static or figured a solution to it?
Thanks,

Blackberry 8830 works perfectly. Does this happen to you whether or not you have the Treo plugged in? I once solved a similar problem (not bluetooth) by getting rid of a 12V adapter. It must have been putting out a lot of radio noise. I guess what I'm saying is try it only using the phone and the Nav, with everything, including the Treo , unplugged. If that works, add stuff back one by one. When you find the culprit, let us know.

I believe my phone normally works fine (but will check w/Nav to be sure). But someone called me today while I was using Nav and the call did not come through. I discovered later my phone was disconnected from the Bluetooth and the phone (Samsung) required a hard re-boot to connect. That was the first time that has happened.

FXF,
Not sure if I completely follow you but I have no additional connections. Phone stays in my pocket connected through Bluetooth. The Nav is on following a calculated route, the phone rings, the Nav screen changes to the phone screen showing incoming call with the answer menu. When I select answer the speakers kick in but there is a great deal of static on the line where the caller can not hear me. If the Nav is off, the phone works perfectly. |

I checked a couple of times and with Nav running I could answer incoming calls fine (with charger plugged into phone). What happens if you shut off the Nav and the caller recalls you?

Not sure, I usually shutoff the NAV and call the person back and the call is fine. Just a pain in the neck process.

If you have a second cell phone (or passenger) why not call yourself and experiment?
