I'll be pulling the trigger on a new $40,205 MSRP LE on Thursday. As I gathered various quotes over the past few days, one dealer forwarded me a flyer that Nissan was selling all Nissan cars at the "pre-negotiated", "below invoice", "employee pricing" until March 31st. I suppose it's a standard employee discount, but I have no idea how much. As anyone taken advantage of the Nissan employee discount and could give me a guideline as to how much or what percentage it actually is? I would like to see how this "discount" would compare to what I have already been offered by other dealers. Thanks in advance & take care!

red kiosk-
I would be very skeptical of any "pre-negotiated", "below invoice", "employee pricing" sales promotion. Remember, the dealer is not doing you any favor. Their only goal is to get you into the showroom so they can sell you a car at a maximum profit.
As long as you have the MSRP and invoice data on the various models and option packages, and the holdback, you can see just how good (or bad) the "pre-negotiated", "below invoice", "employee pricing" promotion is.
Good luck.

Thanks Joe, that's what I kind'a thought too, but was just wondering if there is a set employee discount that all the employees gets. I already have a good, solid quote for $500 under invoice from the dealer I really want to buy the car from. Just some last minute "throwing-the-net-out" resulted in some strange fish.
Take care!

Jim-
$500 under dealer invoice is a very good deal indeed. I doubt you are going to do any better than that, but since you aren't in any hurry it is worth your time to "throw-the-net-out". Good luck.

| Employees buy through what I beleive Nissan calls VPP. They are running special pricing until the end of March. I paid $350 under invoice with a title, license and registration fee of $249. Be sure to include these doc fees in any quote that you obtain. The best way I have found is to ask for an out the door price from the internet sales dept. |

FYI - I work for a Fortune 500 company that deals with Nissan and therefore I get the special VPP supplier program pricing.
When I started dealing with dealerships, I kept that in my backpocket to see what I get one for before pulling that card if I needed to. I quickly realized the VPP would cost me MORE, and after I get my Murano for $700+ under invoice, I told the Sales Manager. His response: "Sure...I can give you VPP pricing, but it'd cost you more :) )
See my response in "Perpetual Price Thread" to see details. |

SO CAN ANYBODY TELL ME WHERE I CAN GET A MURANO BELOW THE INVOICE PRICE.
EVERYBODY IS SAYING I GOT IT FOR $300 LESS INVOICE, $500 BELOW INVOICE AND NOW $700 BELOW INVOICE....
WOULD IT BE GREAT IF YOU TELL US WHERE YOU BUY IT FROM SO THAT WE CAN BUY IT TOO.

| aakasp - You might get a better/more directed response if you post what region of the coountry you are located. If on the east coast, one place to guage prices is Fitzgeralds Nissan. You can see their prices on line at www.fitzmall.com. |

Sorry.
I am in Los Angeles, but i am willing to get prices from other regions incase its way better deal than what I'll be getting here and it will offset the shipping. |
