| iPod Integration: OEM Interface vs. Ebay - Click HERE for Original Thread |

Hey everybody-
Not to beat a dead horse or anything, but I have looked through the pages and pages of info regarding iPod interfacing on this forum and have not found anything about this interface that I found on eBay.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2003...sspagenameZWDVW
It looks like they are basically using the OEM interface AND providing an Aux input. It's cheaper than the OEM interface, but I'm not sure if I want to try it seeing as it is from eBay and may not work properly. I'm wondering if anybody has heard of this unit or tried it in their Mos? Thanks! |

| I called these guys, bascially you cannot have both SAT radio and iPod functionality together. Their iPod integration uses the same plug in as the Sat receiver. |

| Well, it would still work if I don't have/want SAT to begin with. The nice thing about the Ebay interface is that it still gives you an Aux input while maintaining the ipod connection, all for less than the OEM nissan ipod adapter. |

I just installed the original item from this thread yesterday. Works mostly as advertised. There are a few idiosyncracies I haven't quite figured out yet. It really depends on you having playlists to organize your music on the IPOD. I'm pretty impressed by the functionality.
I've got a 30G IPOD Video hooked to it with a Sirius Stiletto on the Aux connection. Probably the toughest part of the install was figuring out how to get the existing wiring harness to release from the back of the radio.
I ordered it through the e-bay express retailer and they were right on with the cables they sent. The instructions are pretty light. Feel free to followup with me if you want more info on it... |
