Picked up a new '09 loaded SL about 2 weeks ago (replaced our '03 SL). So far, really like the vehicle. Refinement is much improved over the original model, which we liked as well. A couple questions to see if anyone else has seen:
1) Our front window "auto up" feature that was present on our '03 either is not functioning on our '09, or it is no longer a feature on the vehicle on either the driver or passenger side. "Auto down", however, works. Can anyone else comment if auto up works on their '09's?
2) Have a slight rattle or creak in the center of the dash - seems to be within and is more pronounced when the temperature is below 40F. Anyone else have a similar problem? I really don't want to be the first to have it fixed since I'm thinking it will require some significant disassembly, if it can even be found - so I think we'll hold out for a while to see if this is a common problem and a fix is identified.
3) Sure would be nice of the main display would show the artist/song title for satellite radio like it does for CD's or the HDD. The only way we've found to do it for satellite is to go into the text display and then you can see it.
4) Would be nice if for voice activated commands, you could turn off the initial comments it makes before you can say something and have it just go straight to the beep so you could say the command you want.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your new SL!!
Your 2009 MO has the same auto-up and down features for the front windows as your older '03. Have the dealer check it out.
As for the rest, you'll have to wait until one of the "new" guys checks in.

auto up works fine in mine... just works the same as auto down except opposite way
theres no rattles in mine.... everything is very quiet even going through bumpy roads
i dont have navigation/voice command so cant say anything about that....
yah.... maybe you should go back to dealer and have it check out.... hope its a easy fix.... maybe test some other 09 on the lot while you are there.... |

| Really good observations. Unfortunately, I don't have any answers. My new 09 LE has no rattles (and I am VERY picky about rattles). It has what I would say are normal "mechanical" noises when going over bumps (suspension working) but the dash and rest of car very quiet. |

| My auto up doesn't work either. Is there a way to turn it off or on? My power liftgate was off when I got the car too, but that was an easy fix. |

Both my auto up and down feature works just fine on my 09 LE. Sounds like yours might be busted but who knows with all the gadgets on these things?
No rattles in mine so I can't help you there.
Re the main display, you can see the artist and song by pressing the "status" button, but it isn't the normal setting. I do like seeing who's playing and which song when I'm on SAT radio.
All that said, I love my Murano. Best car I've ever owned and FAR better than my 05 Pathfinder LE ! |

| On page 2-51 of the owner's manual there is a procedure for initializing the auto down if it does not function properly. |

hi all,
I have a 2009 SL, I hear a slight rattle coming from what I believe is the seatbelt shaft (If it is called that way) from the passenger's side.
I think it may have something to do with the mechanism that retracts the seatbelt. Other than that no other rattles so far.
Anyone else having this? Its something minor, but surely annoying. Only rattles when going over bumps. |

| fixing the auto up will take all of 10 seconds. start with the window rolled all the way down. then roll the window all the way up,while pulling the switch all the way up and hold the switch for 5 seconds. should be fixed. |

No rattles from my seatbelts, but still have that annoying dash rattle that comes and goes. I'll give it a little more time to see if a service bulletin comes out on it so they hopefully don't have to take half the dash apart to find it - its definitely somewhere inside the dash, I've tried holding and pushing on everything external and nothing changes it. Other that that, car is very quiet.
Another question regarding the music box - has anyone found a way to be able to scan through the albums and choose the one you want? The only way I've been able to change albums is through the tuning knob....you would think there would be a way to see a complete list on the display of all your albums, select the one you want, and begin to play it. |

| I too have the rattle in my dash and also the seat belt post,but that was in the winter as it seems to be gone now that the temperatures are in the 70's. |
