Just like the title says, what fuel-economy are you getting w/ your Murano?
TIA:) |

| I just filled up after my first tank and got 20 mpg. During that first tank it was at idle for several minutes while I was programming and playing with all the new toys. |

| One last request, please describe your driving style/habits and if you do mainly city or highway driving. |
|
|
| Old Grumpy |
| My driving on that first tank was 70% highway and 30% city and just a normal driving profile. |

| I have been getting about 22.5 mpg (1700 miles on the odometer). I drive probably 70% highway with a slightly conservative driving style. |

I currently have about 1400 miles on the odometer
My normal drive is suburban under 5 mile trips back and forth to work.
During this type of driving, driving the car relatively hard, the computer says 17.1 mpg and my calculations come out to about 15.6 or so.
When I drive 10-15 miles on the highway at 60-70 mph with a few speed ups and decent acceleration the trip computer says 21.4.. Haven't done real calculations on this yet.
When I did a mix of the two the computer said 20.5 or so and my calculations came out to 19.8... The computer seems more accurate the higher the MPGs.
I have used both premium and regular and have noticed no difference between the two. I am keeping a log of what type of gas, from where, what the computer reads and what my calculations are. |

I have about 1000 miles on my LE Murano. My daily drive to work is about 10 miles. I fill up with 91 octane. My two young children are in the back seat. I do not drive very aggresively. My mileage is 17.5 per the computer.
I recently took a 185 mile round trip to Groton CT, almost all highway, no traffic entering or leaving Hartford, and I got about 20 mpg. |

| Less than 1,000 miles; about 19.5 mpg; approx 75% city, 25% highway. Very happy so far, I would expect a small increase in MPG when engine is a bit more "broken in"... say after the 10k mark. :) |

70% highway
I am getting 24.2 average fuel economy. I have 7500 miles on the car.
I use 91 octane gasoline. |

Premium and my wife driving(need I say more)...17.4
Around town...No data for highway. |

| First tank was 19.5, second tank is 20.6. I am not sure what grade gas the dealer put in but I bought 91 on the second tank. It is mostly city driving. |

| I recently went on a long road trip (all highway), and I was getting 25 mpg. And this was using 87 octane |

I just finished a tank of gas at 24.9 mpg. You can be certain that I will try to repeat that with the next tank :)
On the highway with cruise control set at about 65 it stays around 27 mpg. |

91. always. |

I live in downtown Chicago and average about 12-13 mpg.. with constant stop and go driving...
I plan on fueling it with 87 octane.. it's 3.79 here. |

Last tank was 30% highway, 70% suburban.. 18.8 mpg calculated (and strangely the computer said 18.8 mpg as well) on regular fuel.
I discovered the low fuel light comes on when it took 18 gallons to fill the car. |

I use 91 Octane and have been averaging 22.5 mpg for the last three tanks. I just drove to the mountains on highway and secondary roads and got 24+ on that trip.
I have an LE AWD. |

| I just ran a trip to Boston... 3 hours up and 3 back. Just over 300 miles and we got 26.5 mpg (95% highway, using 91 octane). Very happy with that, and the way the CVT handles the rolling hills of eastern CT (Rt 84) as opposed to the GMC's 6 speed. :2: |

With just 115 miles on my new LE, I took it up to Connecticut this weekend. Originally filled up with premium (93) on the dealer and topped of with the same twice since. Mileage on the highway was 24+mpg. In the city it's been 17+
So milage in my case is as advertised, still early though :) As prices climb, octane may fall, well see. |

I wish the EPA would base "city" mpg off of driving in "real" cities :D ... where you have to stop every 1/4 mile or less, whether it be a stop sign, traffic light, jaywalkers, etc. "Mixed" mpg would then be more accurate.
...at least for us city folk. |

| I have only 500 miles. All city driving. I'm getting 16.4 mpg. Hope this improves. |

Are you guys finding that the 'fuel economy' display is accurate?
If so, i'm getting about 21-22mpg in the city-that's what the computer says. Haven't done any highway yet. |

So far mine has been anywhere from spot on to reading plus or minus 2 mpg from what I'm really getting. It was pessimistic one tank, dead on once, and optimistic the rest of my tanks (after 2700 miles). Currently its reading 22.5 mostly suburban driving.. I'm trying a light footed slow down 10 mph experiment. |

Brand new Murano LE...first tank - 341 miles.
MPG = 20.36
This was about 80%-90% highway, although I was doing the break-in thing varying speeds.
The onboard computer readout said 22.5mpg. |

| WrenchGremlin |
| If you do mostly highway driving (at steady cruise 70 or below) the engine is using just a fraction of its HP so using 87 v.s. 91 octane really won't make a difference in fuel economy. The more city driving or mixed driving you do the greater the difference in MPG per fuel grade. |
|
|
| COMO |
| Driven about 4-5 tanks now and getting right around 20 mpg. Last tank was 87 octane and have notice no difference in mpg or performance. Prior to that I was filling with 91. |
|
|
| Homer |
| Last tank was a hair under 23 mpg calculated and the computer read 22.8 This was 75% suburban 25% highway, regular fuel. Started driving the car gentler and at lower speeds. |

| How do you actually get the mileage number? When I look in the fuel economy section it gives me the remaining mileage in fuel and a bar graph, but no actual number. |
|
|
| SouthFLMurano |
| I think I got it nevermind....its in the trip computer. |
