way to label maintenance reminders? - Click HERE for Original Thread

When setting maintenance reminders using the center monitor, is there a way to label the different reminders. It doesn't seem very intuitive to set a reminder without letting you know what it is for? It seems it will just warn you that "Reminder 1" is expiring but you will not know what that reminder was for? Hope this question makes sense. Any help would be appreciated!

anyone have any suggestions?

First generation ones are already labled for oil and tire rotation. Don't know anything about second generation ones.

And the reason I responded was because I felt bad about you not getting any answers to your post...:D

On the 09, there are two set of reminders. The first set shows in the information display below the speedometer. There are four reminder (oil, filter, tire, other). Then there is a second set of 4 reminders via the color informaiton display in the center of the dash. Those reminders don't have labels and there does not seem to be a way to label the reminders. An unfortunate short coming as at least with navigation there is a full keyboard available via the touch screen. So it would have not taken much more to allow those reminders to have labels and thus be a bit more useful.

The manual states you can change the labels but I don't see where it says how to do it.

ok, thanks for the replys, I just thought it was very strange to have the ability to set reminders but not what the reminders are for, so I thought I must have been missing something, but I guess not!
