Hi all,
I ran into this cool rearview mirror with built-in 4" touch screen lcd, gps and bluetooth receivers.
I thought would be a clean solution for those us who do not have a factory navi.
eBay
A few nice features:
- Clip on to existing rearview mirror
- SD/MMC Card expansion slot
o Support up to 2GB memory for maps and navigation application
- Built in GPS antenna, Sirf-3 GPS high-sensitivity receiver (16 channels)
o Dual antenna design with extra active antenna port
- Built-in speakers - 2W
- Operating system: Microsoft Windows CE NET4.2 core version
- CPU: Samsung S3C2440A-400MHZ
Found a few navi software compatible with Windows CE:
Pharos' Ostia
Route 66 Navigate 7
TeleType WorldNav
TOMTOM Navigator 6 (compatible?)
I'm seriously thinking about getting this and hard wire it for a clean install, but not sure about the softwares. Anyone has experience with above softwares or know any other compatible softwares? |

According to the seller...
Language: Chinese/English, other language can be added.
It does not come with a navigation software. The seller recommended route66 which is about $150. |

wilsondmj-
Nice idea, but it would never work in the NY/NJ area. Half of the lunatics on the road never even look at their rear-view mirrors! And the other half only use it to put on make-up and look at the kids in the rear seat. :2:

| Funny I though it was just the Boston area that had rear view mirrors optional. |

Did you know that in California, and I am sure in other states too, the inside rear view mirror is optional? That is as long as you have at least one side view mirror on each side of the vehicle.... |
