Rear brakes... service manual steps - Click HERE for Original Thread
Rich D
Can or does someone have the "service manual steps" for doing the rear brakes. I've read the "sticky post" and I'm curious as to how Nissan has it written out in a step by step proceedure. I need to replace my rear pads and drivers side rear rotor as the inner pad has worn down, way before the outter pad, and gouged the rotor surface. I'm thinking about changing both rotors while I'm doing the rear pads as the vehicle now has 78K on it and still has everything original. Also does anyone know if Nissan uses a anti squeal agent on the back of the pads ??? I took a look at my rear brakes and the pads/shim and clips all look really clean and there's no sign of anything ever being put on there from the factory. The brakes pads are super easy to change, just as the rotors are, but I'm miffed as to not seeing any sign of a back of the pad anti squeal liquid or such. Thanks Rich

Welcome to the forum.

Your best bet is to purchase the online version of the Service Manual. It only costs $20 and is model-year specific.
