| I was wondering if it's possible to swap out an 2007 bose head unit for a 2005 bose head unit. Reason being, I don't care about the MP3 playback cabpability, but I really like the pause/mute function. I don't know if this is possible b/c the radio buttons are connected to the large circuit board along with all the other buttons, and I know the display changed for 2006. Does anybody know if the older radio would work with the rest of the 2007 system? Thanks. |

Hey,
I do know that I switched the 07'Base radio(single CD w/pause mute button) for a 07'Bose radio (which does not have the pause mute button) It works just fine, but I imagine their is a minor change in the circuits but not sure. I have to add that when doing the change I also changed the buttons (or circuit board) to match the specs for the bose radio and also added OEM navigation.(Navi buttons). Anyway, to answer your question, it probably would work but not for sure:confused:
