Power Wire for AMP - Click HERE for Original Thread
tommy2684
Hey All,

I am having a VERY difficult time running the power wire for my new AMP to power my subs. I know there are already 2 places where I can run the wires through the firewall. From the engine bay, there is a gromet on the top right and from inside the car, there is a gromet to the left of the brake pedal.

They are both impossible to get your hand there to run a wire!!! Has anyone had success doing this? If so, exactly how did you do it!!

Thanks in advance!

coat wire or a rigid wire and electrical tape

Coat hanger will work.

I used an Electricians Fish Wire and pushed it in from the Engine Bay into the car. Then attach your power line to the coat hanger/fish wire and use electical tape to secure them together. Pull from the engine bay little at a time with even pressure.

I made a small slit with a utility knife just above the center of the gromet(where the other wires ran through) so that I can run my 4Ga. wire through the flat area of the gromet.

A little dish soap around the gromet helps pull the new line too.:4:

You can always do what this guy did and install a power source in the rear....

What year Murano do you have? I've been trying to find the gromets you describe in my 2009 without much luck. There is a pass-thru behind the brake pedal but it is mechanical - I don't want to try to fish a wire thru there.

??

Thanks!
