Low Post Count? - Click HERE for Original Thread
Busted Yuppie
This is the first forum where I've seen someone mention a Junior Member's "low post count" in a somewhat snide manner. As a fully differentiated 50 something guy, I could care less how many posts I make on an internet forum or how many posts a long term denizen of the site makes.

For my personal internet habits, my low post count simply means that I don't have time (at work especially) to even view a forum, much less post on it. I'm either (actually) working or at home doing what I love or spending time with the family activity coordinator.

I'm curious as to the impetus behind a comment like that to someone new to this forum. Is a low-count poster supposedly less Murano-informed than someone with big numbers or is this the internet forum equivalent of reducing a newbie's stature?

Just wondering.

I cannot speak for others, but for someone to use post count as a reason why their post carries more authority is rather immature and disrespectful. I have a lot of posts, but I don't think my posts carry any more weight than someone with 1 post - its the quality of information, not the quantity of posts for the sake of posting, which sometimes appears to be the case here.

If you feel like an inappropriate post has been made, use the "report link to a moderator" and we'll have a look at it. I try to be fair when dealing with these situations, and as far as I am concerned the #1 rule here is to be nice and give people the benefit of the doubt.
