Hey Guys,
Just want your opinion on undercoatings. I recently purchased a 2003 MO SL AWD with 98k on it. It is in excellent condition. I live in New Brunswick, Canada. I want to know if any of you think it is worth it to get it undercoated? If so, how much do you think it will cost?
Thanks

I do not under coat my cars as all manufactures seemed to have learned about corrosion control. Now having said that, I use to live in Nova Scotia and I still think they have a salt shaker on the back of the truck that coats all the roads with salt.
I think it is kind of up to you and how clean you keep your car and what you see on other Mo. I to have a 03 Mo (114000 KMs and still love it) and I do not have any rust on it. If you do want to undercoat I recommend that you call your local ziebart store for a quote. |

Thanks for the reply Stoker.
Reason I asked about it is because I also have a '99 Honda Accord and last year the fuel lines and break lines started to corrode and breakup. I had to replace the lines. Front end is starting to go and having to replace ball joints and such now. I'm wondering if I would have done a undercoat it could have saved me some cash.

| Aftermarket coating sprays the undercarriage, but they usually leave the suspension components alone (so ball joints will still wear out). I say its a waste of money as long as you keep the underside of your MO reasonably clean - during the winter I take it to a coin op carwash where I use the high pressure spray on the undercarriage. |

Does anyone use Krown rust proofing on their MO? I've always used them on my cars and have wondered when i finally find my MO if i should or not. Do MO's have good corrosion protection from the factory?
I live in Canada where we use lots of salt. :( |
