I just wanted to let those of you know who are interested if you didn't already know that you can fit 24x10 inch high mid offset rims (would be ideal so they do not stick out from the fender) on your Murano (03-07, unsure about the 08-09) and can go as big as a 295/30/24 inch tire.
As for 26z, you can fit a 26x10 but the best bet would be a 26x9 or 26x9.5 with a 295/30/26 inch tire. Pirelli just came out with that tire and the wholesale cost on it according to www.tirerackwholesale.com is $399 each.
I saw a Murano on cardomain that had 24z on it with 295/30/24 toyo tires and it peaked my interest. After looking of the spec of that tire, and testing it at a local shop here in Houston, I saw that even after that, I still had at least 2 inches of room to play with. The new Pirelli tire filled in that 2 inch gap and looked sweet wrapped in a 26 rim!
I am gonna outfit my Murano with nothing less than 24z but with kids, am unsure if I wanna stick with 24z or max it out with 26z. |

| Now Toyo has come out with both a 275/25/26 and 275/25/28 inch tire. Of course the 28z will not fit on the Murano, but the 26z will and, with this tire, you can fit the 26x10 on it more comfortably within the fender. Before, you would have to use the 295/30/26 tire with a 26x9.5 or 9 inch rim. I'm really excited now! Only problem I have is that none of my tire distributors carry Toyo tires so it seems as though I can't get them at the wholesale price right now. I refuse to pay retail prices for tires or rims! |
