I have a 2006 Nissan Murano with 15,900 miles. On our first "road trip" from Pgh to DC it started slowing down when accelerating to pass cars. It first started when we were on the interstate traveling 70, the RPMs would go up to 4000 and the car would start slowing down, very dangerous when you're trying to get out of the way of a semi traveling faster than you!
By the trip back it was doing it even going 40, a fast acceleration would make the RPMs go up and the car was losing speed!
I love my Murano and usually only drive locally. This was my first real trip and it looks like I'll be making more of these and don't trust the car now on interstates. I'm dropping it off Monday, but from reading other comments, it seems like this is a problem that has happened before.
I just had an oil/air filter change done a month ago and take my car to the dealer for all scheduled maintenenace.
Any thoughts? |

| I hope it turns out to be an electronic throttle body issue and not the transmission. |

The RPM goes up so the electronic throttle body seems to be working. I am affraid it has somjething to do with drive train.....CVT? |
