For those of you who are ham operators or some type of 2 way radio operator may be able to reply.
The moment you open a door, or something similar it seems that the on board computer comes alive. This results in a very large RF pulsing hash from 3.0 mhz up to about 20 mhz. Likely due the onboard lan.
It is not the fuel pump (that is another area of noise).
Has anyone identified the source of the noise and if so, have they been able to get their hands on that box and start any RFI bypassing (chokes, etc.). I'm pretty sure it also affects AM radio reception, but I need to work on that some more.
Grounding of the exhaust system made it worse.
GM, as an example, has a division that addressed this for most of their vehicles. Does Nissan?
Thanks all...

Yep, I have a Cobra CB in our 2007 SL and I too hear 'noise' when approaching and entering our home garage. Sounds like some electrical motor noise. Since it only happens at those tomes, I don't worry about it but it's definitely there.

Mike,
I would love to help you with an answer, but I only run 2M & 440 in the MO. I haven't used HF Mobile since college. Though I know a few ops that still are /M .
If I get a chance I will try to drag my hf rig out to the
MO and see if I am getting the same issue.
Sorry I could not help OM.

For those of you who hear the noise when you have a computer on board or when you approach home, that is not the problem (for the home approach, it might be a Lan in your house or your high speed internet).
The computer noise is the fault of your computer, not your FM radio.
This noise is 100% generated by the Murano LAN. You can also hear it in you AM radio if you know what to listen for. That is acceptable.
The noise on the other part of the radio spectrum (HF) is not something that most of us would notice. Just us HAMs who run HF communications would. Not sure what they look like (Hams that is), drive through Dayton OH this weekend. You'll see what I mean. ;)
