| I know the rear most part of the cargo cover will retract, but what's up with the front part. These two elephant ears just hang there and even if you hook them onto the rear seat, they still have a lot of extra material in them. On the older models, these were retractable as well, like a window blind. Nice and neat. The new ones are not as nice, or did I get a defective one? |

Nope, we went from an 05 to an 09 Murano and found ourselves wishing we had kept the old tonneau cover. Its a REALLY dumb design.
I yanked on those flaps really hard just hoping and wishing they would retract but if you look at them closely, its really just one big piece. it sits in the garage corner now gathering dust. |

| Yeah, totally crappy design, I agree. The bar should have been placed much closer to the rear seatbacks too. Where it is now really limits the amount of usable space in the cargo area for tall things (like backpacks). This is my main gripe about the '09 (which is pretty minor in the big scheme of things). |
