Noticed the other day when the Murano has been sitting a while an odd behavior. I turned the key, the car fired up (hear the engine run), and a second later I'm at 0 rpms stalled. Second attempt it went down to like 500/600 for a second then stalled. Third attempt it went down to almost 0, then sputtered, and finally was operating normally. Once its running, the car operates like a champ. My wife has noticed this has been going on for a month or so, and I could never reproduce it until now.
Does anyone have any ideas what to do? I replaced the battery about 6 months ago before winter. I also attempted 2 idle-air relearns after this to make sure I got it done.
P.S. I've got a 2004 with 33k miles on it. I assume this might be under powertrain warranty? |

I would have sggested idle re-learn but you have done that already. Did you do it yourself, or dealer did it? I am wondering why there is no code...
I would take it to the dealer and let them fix it. Yes, it should be covered under warranty, and no, I would not mention to the dealer that you attempted the re-learn yourself...:4: |

My dealership is a bunch of douchebags. I called them and inquired. They said the powertrain warranty only covers things internal to the engine, so it probably would not be covered.
I may take it in for an idle air re-learn to see what happens. |

My 2003 Murano is doing the same exact thing, except now it is even worse. Before I would start it and it would drop RPM's and almost cut off, but now I cannot start it at all without giving it gas to keep the RPM's up. This only happens when the engine is warm, cold starts are fine.
If you find an answer, let me know please. The Murano has 72,000 miles on it now and originally started around 60,000 miles. |

Did you replace your battery around when it first started? I think I might have... |

| To be quite honest I am not sure if it first started when I first replaced the battery. The battery has been replaced twice, first around 40,000 and again at 68,000. |

| Wife just called and the SES came on. Now I need to go somewhere and pull the code. |

Well, it threw a P1122. According to the service manual its something to do with the Electronic Throttle Control. I have a 2004 with only 33k miles on it. I think this part is covered under the powertrain warranty.
The car drives/handles fine, so I'm not sure if the issue still exists. I had them clear the code and it didn't come back on my way home. We'll see, if it does I'm taking it to the dealer for the replacement part. I've taken then the throttle body off before on my Maxima, so I could do this one myself if I had to. |
