Hello I just changed my Spark plugs this week (with champion ones 7975-2 double platinum) and the engine misfires when hot and I rechanged the three ons on the front in case of them being cracked but cant find out why there is a misfire. It starts very well and no problem till I restart it when its hot. Very bad acceliration.

Hi, which temp range plug did you install?

Checking on the net for the temperture rating but can't find it on the
champion site but I know that i need the standard type like it says in the murano manual. I also want to know if it was a bad idea to tap the top elecrode on a metal surface to bring down the gap ? I used to do that on ordinary spark plus on earlier old cars but maybe it wasn't a good idea and now i'm thinking of putting the original kind (NGK PLFR5A-11). I also didn't replace the INTAKE MANIFOLD COLLECTOR gasket but seemed in good shape. Thanks

Just curious, are the plugs pre-gapped or not?
If not, maybe the you need to use a Wire-Gauge Spark plug Gap tool to correct this?

Yes, it was! Spark plugs are 'dainty' when it comes to any banging around. You have cracked them(maybe all of them?) internally.

Changed Spark plugs to original NGK laser platinum and now working fine. Must be the champion plugs(7975 double platinum) that were not the ones recomended but thats what the local auto parts store gave me.
Very happy to have solved it myself from you guys. Thanks:1:

Glad to hear all is well. I guess the good news is that you probably don't need to touch those plugs for another 100,000 miles.
