Hello -
I just bought my 2004 Murano. It has the factory installed Bose stereo, without navitation. There is a SAT button, but no tuner.
I was disappointed to learn that I can't install my Alpine iPod stereo. . . and when I called my local dealership to inquire about the tuner, I was told that they don't have a tuner for the 2004, they could get one for a 2005 but couldn't guarantee it would work and would cost in the neighborhood of $850.
So. . . does anyone have any suggestions on how to either get Satellite or my iPod to work, short of using my cassette adapter?
TIA. |

Welcome to the forum...
2004 MO should be pre wired for satelite. Do a search in the audio section. Look at the many threads on satellite installs and you will find the answer to all your questions, guaranteed!
Also, Search the forum for auxilury input, or go to http://www.pac-audio.com/ if you are only interested in using your current tuner. |

Thanks for the reply -
Yes, I believe that it is pre-wired, it just doesn't have the tuner and so that's where the problem is - they don't even know if the 2005 tuner would work in mine.
The reason that I believe there isn't a tuner is because if I push the "SAT" button, I just get a message that says "No SAT"
I am very new to this so if there's something I should be looking for, please tell me!

I have a Geunine Nissan IPOD Attachment for 2004-2006 Murano (also works with 2005-2006 Frontier with 6 CD Factory Radio, 2005-2006 Xterra with 6 CD Factory Radio, 2005-2006 Pathfinder with Factory Bose 6 CD Radio, 2004-2006 Nissan Titan with 6 CD Radio, 2004-2006 Armada and 2004-2006 Nissan Quest)
that I used in my 05 Murano. I traded in the Murano in and now I am left with the Ipod Interface that I cannot use. I am looking to sell the unit which is in perfect condition due to the simplest of installs. I used the unit for 3 years with no issue whatsoever. The unit plugs into the open Satellite port in the cargo area behind the rear seats. the cable is then long enough to go all the way up to the center console. I just layed the cable under the carpets in the back and ran it up through the seats and kept my Iphone in the cup holder.
Fully interfaces with any ipod or iphone with the 12 pin jack. also charges it which is great. bought this new from http://yournissanparts.com/ for $210 plus $10 bucks shipping. Looking to sell for $180 or BO. Shoot me an email if you have any questions or are interested at kenknapp2004(at)yahoo.com |
