Greetings all, my wife and I just purchased a 2005 MO with 19.5k miles. I tried to navigate through Nissan's site to find info about their extended warranties but just couldn't find the answer(s) I am looking for. My biggest question is are we eligible to buy the extended warranty through Nissan, if so, what is the best bang for ones buck (opinions welcomed) are there any other options for extended warranties. This is the first car the wife and I have bought that is "new". I litterally drove the doors off my 94 cavalier (door fell off in my hand in the parking lot).
We still have the 3/36000 warranty until August and the 5/60,000, I would just feel more comfortable with something that will at least cover the major stuff until the car is paid off.
Thanks all

To my knowledge you can get the xtended warranty while the original 3 year/36k mile warranty is in effect. Not sure about the other warranties though. |

Correct. I got mine when I was about to hit the 36k mark.
As for which one to get, that entirely depends on how much you drive per year and what all you want covered. You'll need to talk to a dealer and go over all the different options, then start shopping around. As with everything Nissan, prices on extended warranties are negotiable. Decide which coverage you want, then call several dealerships and try to get the best offer.
I never even had to go into the dealer to get mine, I just did it over the phone. Guess they just trusted me that it was before the 36k mark. |
