I'm now looking into the option of removing the orange screen and putting my pioneer avic unit in there instead, but need to know what kind of lead connects to the orange screen that supplies all the car information. I have loads of inputs available on the pioneer unit, but most are composite av inputs.
any pictures or a how 2 guide of removing the screen as well would be much appreciated.
going to use the PAC ROEM-NIS2 connection to connect my new unit to the exisiting bose wiring. do I have anything to worry about with that as well? there website makes it look very easy.
Cheers in advance

Hi
What you are trying to accomplish is very difficult.
I installed OEM navigation and it was no easy task,
and that was with oem parts etc.. This vehicle is not
intended to add on aftermarket parts very easy.

| The orange screen is an lcd that is controlled via a serial or parallel interface. That said, someone would have to figure out the communications protocol, and design and build a converter before you could plug the system into an aftermarket display. I find it VERY unlikely that such a device already exists. |
