No, the CVT will not overheat.
The scoop directs the air flow towards the fins cast in the bottom of the CVT. The amount of cooling attributed to the scoop looks to be relatively small as compared to the two, more efficient oil-to-water heat exchangers built in to the CVT.
Out of curiosity, why do you want to remove it?

you dont want to see the part ! lol
OMG !
I knock the part in a hole and the scoop completly fall off
4 of the 5 bolts was completly grind and the only way i can remove the last one was with a punch..
so,,
i already remove it and want to know if i'll break something if i dont have it |
