| I am about to buy new tires for the MO. I'm split between the YK520 and the Cross Terrain. Does anyone know where these tires are made? These two seem to be on par with each other and this may sway my decision. |

I have no idea where the tires are made. However, I do believe the big three (GDY, Michelin and Bridgestone) make good tires.
I just got new YK520 for my wife FX35 and they seem to be OK. More importantly she is happy. Time will tell how they long they last... |

| What should it matter where they are made? Homer already said the Michelins are made in the USA, so I imagine the Yokos are made either in the USA or Japan. |

| Thanks for the replies! I wanted to make sure neither one of the was made in China or some other undesirable place. Glad to hear the Michelins are made in the USA. |

To be honest, I don't think it matters quality-wise, where an item is made - whether a Michelin is made in the USA, Japan, or China, they use the same technical expertise to make the product. Think about this way - every Apple product comes from China. Does that make it inferior? I don't think so.
Now if the concern is the working conditions, that is a different matter all together, but it is important to keep in mind that different countries work differently, and what may be wrong in one is not necessarily wrong in another. |
