I bought my 2005 SL AWD Murano (loaded except Nav) in March 2007~ I paid around $24,500. At the time, that was a pretty good price and the non-S models were moving fast. Now, I have been noticing that the prices have come down quite a bit just since last year.. there is something just like mine today listed for $19,999.00.
Do you think the Gen 1's have lost some value with the release of Gen 2 or do you think this is the trend with most vehicles at this time and I just don't pay attention to those? |

Since last year, my 04 has come down in price so much I don't even want to talk about it!
I think the price drop has a lot to do with high gas prices. People in general are now being attracted towards the smaller cars and that is the current trend.
My suggestion is, enjoy your MO and don't pay attention to these! |

| I agree! The MO for all it's qualities is still a BIG heavy vehicle. Gas mileage is good for it's size but nowhere near the "smart cars" that all the tree huggers want us to drive now. I say just enjoy your car...it's a great one. |

I got $15,500 for my 04 SE AWD w/ Premium Package (no leather or NAV) when I traded it in for my MDX.
The sticker was still in the glove compartment for $33k+ (over $34k if you counted all the accessories I paid for...)
I could have gotten a little better if I'd sold it private party... maybe. But it would have required a lot more effort and time. I was willing to "pay" a little for the convenience factor.
Kelly Blue Book put my private party value at $18,085 on the high book, $17,060 for mid book.
Trade-in value was a pathetic $13,500 for HIGH book.
Suggested retail is $22,830. I can all but guarantee nobody would be able to sell a 04 for more than $20k in the current market. $18k would be what I would expect. |
