Stereo stuck please help! - Click HERE for Original Thread

I've got a 2007 with the factory stereo (No Bose). I was playing a CD the other day which worked fine initially. After turing the Murano off and back on again later on, nothing played, no track or disc info was displayed, and it just read CD on the top. I could not change to a different mode (radio, etc), could not eject the disc, and could not power off the stereo. It was as if it was frozen. The temperature controls work and display fine. It's a burned CD but I do not and never have put any burned CD's in there that had anything flaking off so I don't believe it to be anything related to that. Any help/advice would be appreciated

Welcome to the forum!

I would think your burned CD had no impact on the radio malfunction. The radio is powered-up so the fuses are fine. My guess is a malfunction internal to the radio itself, so there is little you can do.

Since you MO is a 2007 I am assuming it is still covered by the b2b warranty, correct? If that is the case then I suggest you let the dealer replace the unit.

Yeah that's probably what I'll have to do. Thanks for the help!

There is actually a diagnostic procedure for the stereo if you want to try to figure out the issue by yourself. Its a pretty long procedure, so if you want to check it out, download the factory shop manual from nissan-techinfo.com for your model year Murano.
