Just saw Mobil 1 oil with grade 0W – 30. What struck me was the greenish label and claim by Mobil that this oil saves fuel and is fully compatible with 10W – 30 and 5W – 30.
What you guys thing about it? I am tempted to use it for my future oil changes… |

| Been using Amsoil 0W30 for years. No perceived issues.... |

| I like to follow the guide in the owner's manual... 5W-30. Perhaps if I were in extreme cold temps I might consider it. |

The Mobil website suggests a "potential 2% fuel economy improvement". The claim is solely based on the lower-viscosity properties of the 0W-30. They even have a cute graphic calculator to project what your annual and 7-year savings will be.

By the way, this is not a new product. According to the website's FAQ, "They are the same formulations as the products marketed prior to 2008. As the importance of fuel economy has increased, we felt it was important to communicate to consumers which products in the Mobil 1 family offer the greatest potential for improved fuel economy."
