First of all I like to say hi and introduce myself. Sorry this post is long which most of my post will be from my iPhone.
So I just traded in a fixed up 07 Scion tc for a 04 Murano SL black on black leather with no navi, Dvd, or SAT but I do have ethe Bose 6 CD changer with sub. Wife and I had 2 sport coupes (08 altima coupe 3.5) and needed a vehicle to better suit carrying a child around in. I never leave a car stock so I have some simple plans for the Murano. I'm going to be wearing out the search button but the info I will be looking for is iPhone interface, OEM navi install, XM install, 06 tail swap, 06 gauge cluster swap, where to wire in my amp and subs in at, DVD install, LED swap, and what maintaince that I need to do (I'm at 53,000 miles).
I'm a car guy to the core I started out in muscle cars, then to mini trucks, first taste of imports was a 87 maxima ever since then been an import guy. I was a big Honda guy then I meet my wife which was also a honda girl, then went To toyotas due employee discount (2 scion tc and a FJ Crusier), fell in love with the altima coupe snag one and always loved the Murano so we are now a Nissan family.
I'll post pics later of the cars. I spent the weekend detailling the murano restoring the paint finish. Already have switched some of the bulbs out with LEDs (need to figure out how to get to the headlights and back up/ plate lights) going to tint the windows tomorrow and start designing a sub enclosure for 2 12" subs. |

My (live at home) Daughter has a Scion TC (and new Iphone) I drive the Scion quite a bit. It's light years different than the Murano. The MO is a way better, safer family mover. The Scion is fun to zoom around in though, I just wish it were a stick!

First, welcome to the forum! I've only done a few mods so far but this forum has been very helpful. As you stated, you can find a lot of help for your different projects searching the archives. Since I just did the bulbs (good first step), I've done the leg work for you.
Here's a few threads about changing headlight assembly bulbs and fog light bulbs. It's easier to swap all lights at the same time since you access all the bulbs from the wheel well. Or if you're impatient like me you can do it as the different bulbs arrive in the mail!

You mentioned swapping out bulbs for LED lamps. Have you been able to swap out the front turn signals yet? I started a thread about LED turn signal swap here with no bites. If you have, share the knowledge! |
