| A couple of nights ago, my cell phone stopped charging in my car and I thought the phone was broken, because the light on my car charger was still on. Got my phone home and it charged fine with my regular charger. So logically I think my car charger is toast. Wife goes to charge her phone in the car with a different charger and it won't charge, but the light on the charger goes on. Funny thing is my radar detector plugged into the same outlet works just fine. What could be causing this? |

Have you checked the fuse that is housed in the actual charger? Normally there is an in line fuse in the plug part of the charger. Unscrew the "coned" tip of the charger to access the fuse.
If not the fuse; could be the electronics or contact within the plug of the charger.
It would appear that it's not the actual 12v outlet so that would lead to the conclusion that its the device being pluged in that is not working..... |

You are right. That is strange.
I know this may be a stupid question, but if you connect the charger to a fully-charged phone and NOT plug the charger in to the power socket is the charger light still on? I thought maybe the light was being powered by the phone's battery.

| Charger is fine, two different chargers don't work in the Murano. They work in a pathfinder though. |
