Ok so I purchased a 04 with black interior. I expressed intrest in ordering a cargo cover since it did not come with one, the sales manager offered to give me one that had been shoved in a storage closet for along time but couldn't remember what color it was. Of course my luck it is the cream color an not he grey that is for the black interior.
So I was wondering should I paint this with fabric paint, or paint the non moving parts and glue carpet to the moving part, or maybe I can get lucky an some one on here is in the same situation I'm in with a grey one with cream interior. |

Paint it? Glue carpet to it?? That's way too much work. I bought mine from a fellow member who was turning in his leased MO and was selling off the accessories.
Keep an eye out on ebay. You might find one there. In the mean time you can put yours up for sale and make a few $$.

Second that...
My opinion is that you don't want to mess too much with paints, dyes, etc. They last okay for about a year but then start to flake and look terrible. You're better off taking the tme and spending the extra money getting the right one for your MO.
Besides, the sales manager should take the time to drag the one they have out of storage to show you. Sometimes that's what it takes to make a sale. :D |

Oops forgot that one but yeah that is my other idea. I don't know if it will clean up good enough to sell though something is spillednom it but I think it may have a stain on it (maybe the reason it was there to begin with) it's not much work just worry about the rolling vinyl part. I really like to have a black which onbiously I'm SOL. Just want one in before I install my custom sub box so I can hide it.
They finally installed a rear wiper that was missing and now after looking at it I'm worried how much it's going to bounce, vibrate, etc |

Ok update. After cleaning it up I noticed that the metal crossmember part was scratched up pretty bad and I could not get a stain on it out. I figured I wouldn't be able to sell it for much so I went ahead and painted. I know first though of ugh but I used dupli-color vinyl and fabric paint. Well it turned out great looks like a factory color.
I hung it by the seat side which I wouldn't reacommend since the weight began pulling the vinyl off of the roller that it is glued to. Maybe try it the opposite way. All it did was take a scotch pad to all the surfaces whip down with a solvent and shoot it. I like the look of solid black cover much better flow into the seats. Don't know why Nissan did not do this to began with. |
