Nissan North America (NNA) reported sales of 108,493 units in August 2008 as compared to 95,527 units for August 2007. That represents an increase of 13.6%. The big winners were the Frontier, Xterra and Quest which showed increases of 55.5, 76.9 and 64.4%, respectively. The Z took a big hit; sales were down 34.3%.
5,071 MOs were sold last month as compared to 6,580 for August 2007. That is a decrease of 22.9%.
Year-to-date sales of the MO stands at 51,610 units, which is down from 57,448 units from last year, a decrease of 10.2%.
