ive had the skipping cd when the car is cold. recently i was driving on a longer trip and it started skipping after i turned the air conditioning on.
i ejected the CD and it felt cold.
so i put the CD on the dash and let it heat up (from the sun).
back in player- fixed the skipping.
that suggests to me that some sort of condensation as discussed in other threads is at work, and heating the CD may be a workaround.
