Hi all,
Does anyone know if you can replace the bose amp and use the same wiring? Is there a harness or something available?
Thanks |

Welcome go5;
If you do a search on Bose; you will see that this topic has had many threads with folks doing different kinds of amp upgrades.
I don't know that there is an actual that connects existing wires to a new amp.
You can just unplug the 2 connectors from the amp and tap into the high-level lines to bring into your new amp though. |

Thanks for the reply...
I did a search and some reading, still have a question. I saw your diagram posted with the connectors pinouts. When you say tap into the high level lines what exactly do you mean. Can I use the power and remote turn on lines or should I run new ones.
I saw the pac adapter to add a new amp, basically I am wondering do I need it or can I use the lines from the bose amp for my new amp
Thanks for the help! |

i did those thing on my MO
i changed the amp..
the BEST thing is :
put a pac audio module so you can have two RCA from the front
because if you go by a high level converter, you will have a high pitch sound every time you hit the gaz (hum noise) ans i think you dont want this !
i already try the CHEAP way before...
If you go only with a sub and a amp. you can go with a high level converter BUT if you want a speakers amp, dont try this
and...
If you dont want to rewire every speaker, take a saturn 2004-2005 stereo connector and its PLUG & PLAY in the bose amp connector
Here @ ebay
the only thing you have to do is repin the connector to have every color on each speaker (ie green/gray/purple/white together) |
