Front panel (a/c, cd, screen) not responding - Click HERE for Original Thread

I recently purchase 2006 Nissan Murano SL with 36,000 miles. A week ago I encounter a problem: radio, CD player, a/c or any other buttons on the front panel won’t respond. Screen shows audio off, and a/c working in auto setting. I took Murano to a dealer and they said I need to change 1 of 2 thing: a/c amplifier control or control assy (part# 28330-CC21A) . After changing both parts and $900 later I sill have same problem. Does any body have any suggestions???? Thanks.

Welcome to the forum!

Right off the bat I would want my $900 refunded back from the dealer. Once he realized he replaced the wrong part(s) he should have put the original(s) back in.

Are the dealers still working on your problem?

The service manual suggests the tech verify the operation of the power supply and the ground circuits. Hopefully they have done so.

Njjoe said it right. I have very high expectations when it comes to automotive maintenance and quality customer service. If they did some work for you and it did not fix the original issue...get the service manager, business owner, and the technician who did the work and raise hell. Not only should they give you a refund but they should requote the work and give you a discount on whatever work is needed to fix the real issue.

There is no reason why they should immediately assume that it is the AC controller assembly or the control panel. They should have done what the Service Manual said and tested everything before replacing parts. It sounds like poor technician troubleshooting to me.
