OK, I have a brand new 2009 LE.
In all of my previous cars I've always had the 1st oil change done at 1,000-1,500 miles, and than at 3,000 mile increments.
My Nissan dealer tells me that an early 1st oil change is a waste of money (but they don't look, or sound like, geniuses to me - great 1st impression they made!).
My gut tells me to follow my past practice - ain't a lot of money.

It's really up to you. The first oil change was done for one of my new vehicles on the normal interval.
I was always told that you treat your new cars exactly the same as a used one. Drive it the same, change the oil the same, don't baby it, etc...etc...etc...
It's seemed to work okay for me up to this point. |
