about my sun visor failing early in my Murano's life and causing a safety hazard by flopping down to obstruct road view when a bump is hit.
Any repair ideas?

Your poll does not make sense. I understand the first selection but the latter three (what I have done about problem, fixes, and anyone complain) make no sense whatsoever.
Are you trying to get a handle on the magnitude of the problem or asking if anyone has come up with a fix?
