Hi guys,
First of, great forum, lots of useful interesting stuff. Very helpful suggestions from all the pros.
Here is my question. When I start up or turn off the ignition in my 05 MO it makes a sound resembling of CD changer. As if it is sorting out the CDs. Same sound occurs when there are no CDs in the changer. Now, it only sounds like a CD changer i'm not entirely sure if its is in fact the nature of the sound. Has anyone experienced the same or should i start worrying.

| I have a 05 SE murano and had the same sound, everytime I turned it off or on it made a sound like a cd changer. Even when I was going down the highway or at a stop it would also do the same thing. I could only hear it when my windows was down. It was a noise outside the vehicle. Mine turned out to be a bad motor mount, I had it replaced and have not had the noise since. Is yours making the sound inside the vehicle or outside? |

Sounds exactly what i have. I hear it better with windows down. As if its coming from under the hood.
You said your problem was due to bad motor mount. Do you know how to fix it or how do i look for the mount? Also if it ends up to be the issue, was it too expensive to fix?

| I had the dealership fix mine. I do not know where to look for it at under the hood. The dealership fixed mine for $300.00. I only had one bad motor mount. Do you have a 2WD or a AWD? I think the AWD has two motor mounts. I have the AWD. |

Its a AWD. So 2 motor mounts.
