Here is an interesting video concerning new tire purchases. Be sure to check the manufacturing date before installation:

| Just installed my daughters snow tires, (thats the fluffy white stuff that rarely shows up on the road in the southern area of N.A.) They indicated a build date of 27th week 2007 , all clear. |

I have heard about this before, but never really paid attention to how to figure it out, now I know. I bought a set of Michelin Cross Terrain from Costco in July and they had to have them shipped in, I assumed they were pretty new. And if 6 months old is new, then I did OK. But they did mount two of the tires so that I would have to crawl under the car to see the date. You got me to go check.
THANKS! |
