Got a hitch installed, now airbag light is flashing? - Click HERE for Original Thread

So I took my 2003 Murano in today to a local truck accessory place to have a hitch installed. I ended up picking it up after hours and noticed that my airbag light now continuously flashes. I know there some sensors and a seat belt tension component which can cause the light to come on, but could there be anything that was associated with the hitch installation that could have caused it?

I know they had to partially drop the exhaust for the installation, could then be anything with sensors that could cause this? It doesn't seem like there would be a connection, but I thought I would ask. I saw the procedure online to set it, but if I have a legitimate concern, then I'll just take it to a dealer.

It has 72k, so there is definitely no warranty involved. But if it is something that COULD have been caused by the hitch installation then I might push back on the installer a bit. Oh yeah, they also installed the wiring harness, but it doesn't seem like that would affect airbags either.

Any thoughts?

If your light doesn't turn back on then you're system is fine. If it does...it's back to the drawing board.
