Well I made it to the dealer - thankful that the car is new and so is the battery.
Dealer replaced alternator. Said I was lucky this didn't happen a few months ago when parts were on back order for Murano and people had long waits.
I asked the dealer what the biggest issues have been w/Muranos in the shop. He said that he has seen 2 tranny rebuilds, including one that got Nissan techs over from Japan/California to see why the thing failed (apparent major overheating problem caused $18k in replacement costs + labor). He's also seen alternator replacements and rack tightening from TSB.
Thanks to hfelknor and Doombringer. Looks like the MO is back in da game... |

| Just out of curiosity - when did you purchase your Murano and what is the build date (listed on the driver door jam plate). |
