Radio problem - Click HERE for Original Thread

Let me first say that the Murano is the best car I have ever owned. We bought one for my wife, liked it so much we bought another for me. So, we own 2 Murano's, his and hers. My wife has a 2005 with 40,000 miles on it. The radio stopped completely stopped working this week. Completely dead. Fuses are OK. Took it to the dealer today and they say we need a new radio at $450 (reconditioned) plus $100 to install. Seems not right for a car barely 3 years old. The dealer has been no help. Has anyone heard any other problems like this? Any suggestions?

Welcome to the forum.

Although not that common the radios and CD players have been known to fail.

There is an alternative to the dealer. An outfit called Audio and Video Service Stop will repair your radio for a flat fee. You need to pull the radio and ship it to them. Several members have used them without any problems. The repair price is around $160. That is quite a bit less than the $450 quoted by your dealer. Here's the link to their site: Audio and Video Service Stop
