What is the antenna on the roof used for? - Click HERE for Original Thread

I have a 2004 Murano.

The manual says the GPS antenna is "located on the instrument panel inside the vehicle".

If this is so then what is the antenna I have located on the roof in front of the moonroof?

Is the manual incorrect or could this be an antenna for Sat Radio?

Thanks

That antenna is the FM radio antenna.

Right. The GPS antenna in the dash is for the Nav system.

Satellite radio comes via a separate antenna that attaches to the roof near the back of the vehicle. That antenna is black and about the size and shape of a computer mouse.
