| Has anyone successfully removed the factory NAV reader yet? I've been talking to my stereo guy and he seems to think I can remove it and install a DVD drive. I was told the "Nissan 7'' DVD based screen" would accept. Ive seen some pics floating around here of an install but I dont recall if the hole was factory. Any help or comments would be appreciated!:p |

I had mine replaced by the dealer under warranty about a month ago. Service manager said it was a major PIA and took one of their best techs over 4 hours (on Nissan's dime). Apparently the entire console has to come out to get at it.
I was considering trying to get at it myself in order to wire in a bypass switch so that the NAV could be programmed while moving (by the passenger, of course) but am re thinking that idea now.
The part price was all I saw and it was ~$2800.00 |
