I have really enjoyed being a part of this forum and have appreciated the pictures you all have uploaded to explain various scenarios related to the Murano. I have been unable to upload pictures and was curious as to what the process is to do this? Can anyone explain how the process works? Thanks in advance.

Sean, check out this faq: http://www.nissanmurano.org/forums/...e=3#attachments

Let us know if you have any specific problems.

The real trick is that when you have the picture you want to post visible in another browser window, you have to right click on the picture (on a PC) for the pictures properties, the address that you see is the one that you copy and paste into the box with the HTTP address in it.

A lot of people make the mistake of putting in the address of the picture that shows in the address bar in IE for example. They get just the red x in a box instead of the picture they want.

Of course you need to upload the pictures in the first place to a site that hosts them and not have any passwords on the site where you upload the pictures. Once you do it a couple of times, it's pretty cool and a great way to communicate with other members.

What's even nicer, is you can actually upload a picture with your post. So you don't have to have it hosted somewhere else....

When you're posting, use the section that says "Attach file:" under the options.

Thank you all for your help. I'll probably upload to Imagestation and try it from there.

Why not upload it to the "gallery" instead? http://www.nissanmurano.org/photopost/

All,
As you will be able to see by checking in the Gallery I was able to upload my "Midnight Rider" with the use of Imagestation and your kind advice. Thanks again.

Ah, this has been fixed now. You should be able to upload to the gallery.

I had problems too. The first thing you can try is finding a web host for your pictures such as IMAGESTATION, MSN, YAHOO, etc... (they are all free), you can upload your pictures to the hosting site and then use the little IMG just above this box to insert the hyper link to your photo . You can also upload to the Member Gallery (next to forums in the menu at the top of the page). To upload to the member gallery you can either use zipped .jpg images or smaller size .jpg images on your hard drive. Hope I helped a little bit and did not confuse you more. Good Luck

If you are still having problems, please let me know what they are (i.e. error messages, etc) and will look into them right away.

I guess I am loseing it but I can't find or remember how to post multiple pics on a single post. Please advise. Thanks! :(
jaak
You can attach a single picture, you can link to multiple pictures.

If you stick them in your gallery and check out the properties, you can then use that URL to link to them, with the IMG button above the reply window.

Like this:

This is http://www.nissan.co.uk/global/mura...s/MT_OV_TOP.gif

with IMG xxx /IMG around it but in square brackets around each tag.

Ahh.... Ok, when a URL shows, instead of an image, that's a property the Admin has to correct under this heading. The forum software allows either and it's selectable. I'll note it to him.

I am having problems posting to the gallery

This is the error message I get:

File upload error. Cannot find uploaded file.
Path: [/home/httpd/vhosts/nissanmurano.org/httpdocs/gallery/3049/9951dtrl-relays.jpg]

I tried it both at home and at work. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks...
GripperDon
Are you sure this is not an out for not posting those carputer pictures? GRIP

I wish!
I am really geting the error messages. It maybe due to firewall but I have no trouble uploading to the post area at all. So I don't know. Maybe the admin will look into it.

Too many to post all of them in regular posts so I will post one pic

I notice that the picture on the dual post at

http://www.nissanmurano.org/forums/...=&threadid=3847 is a duplicate of the one right after it and that the picture will not fully load. I maybe that the crash was related to this error and that deletaing one of those redundant posts would fix the problem? GRIP

Since the restore of the server earlier this week I have noticed quite a few pictures in the galleries are not showing. Because of this, they are also not showing where linked in various posts throughout the site.

I can see the thumbnails in any gallery I've looked through. But, when clicking to view the "smaller" or "larger" versions often gets you nothing. Sometimes the "smaller" shows, but not the "larger." It doesn't necessarily affect every picture in the gallery.

I have the problem in part of my gallery. Also, while searching for info on the Magnet Bra I discovered the same issue in Dij's, pcs15394's, and dklanecky1's galleries.

Special-K suggested it might be an issue with file permissions.

I realize the problem may still be being worked on, but hadn't heard any updates. Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks

PM the admin with the most complete and accurate description of the problem you experience. Give him a couple of days to respond (he's a busy guy) and it should be resolved.

He's never let me down....:D

Thanks, Jaak! Will do.

I cannot load pictures to my gallery. I created a subfolder and when I try to upload to it, I get the following error message:

File upload error. Cannot find uploaded file.
Path: [/home/httpd/vhosts/nissanmurano.org/httpdocs/gallery/3068/99519951step0.jpg]

What does this mean and how can I fix it?

Thanks

P.S. this is the same error I used to get. See my post above from February...

Edit: I just tried again and it worked. Apparently I can upload to the main folder in my gallery, but not to the subfolder there. How do I do that?

hi guys, would appreciate some help here.
i've tried to post some pics in which i've saved in yahoo photos.
i used the [img] function to include the pics several times using the html address under the "properties" tab but it doesn't seems to work.
is it because it has got to do with my settings in yahoo photos?
has it got to do with the sharing of the album?
i reckon that was the problem and have since set my album to a shared album....still it doesn't work.

help!!!!
jaak
So far, every time I've asked the Admin, to turn on the image capability in a section of the forum, he's done it.

You can either PM him directly if you like, or PM me or another mod, to request it on your behalf.
